Gandhi was born on October 2nd 1969 in Porbandar, India.
He married his wife Kasturbai Gandhi at 13, it was an arranged marriage. She was 9. This happened in 1883
On September 4th, 1888 Gandhi left India to go to London to study law. He was only 19.
Gandhi returned to India and brought his family to help with a case there. They spent several years there. Gandhi was arrested twice.
Back to London: 1909
Gandhi goes to London because of an unfair law that was passed. He eventually gets it repealed. He returns to India with his family.
Set Sail for England:
Once again Gandhi goes to London on a peace mission. He goes in July of 1914 and arrived at the start of WW1 in August. He returns to India and people treat him like a hero.
Declaration Of Independence:
After a long period of non-violent protests, in January of 1930, he writes and publishes India's Declaration Of Independence.
In March and April of 1931, Gandhi leads Indians to the ocean to collect salt instead of getting salt from Britain.
In August, 1947, India finally gets the independence Gandhi had been fighting for for most of his life.
Gandhi was assassinated by Nathuram Godse, an angry Hindu nationalist who was upset over his acts to stop the Muslims and Hindus from fighting.
